Head Toolbox centralized the most commanly used Maya scripts during player head polishing process.
The user front utilites includes:
- LOD Generation tool for creating lower LOD mesh from higher LOD mesh which leverages Houdini Digital asset.
- Isolation functions to isolate faces that are tricky to select by hand.
- Various mesh restoring utilites for features such as mouth and eyelashes.
- Export tools for validating and exporting the game mesh to meet the requirement of the game engine.
In the background, the tool also monitors change of hierarchy in the scene, making the data available for any scripts included in the tool at all time.
